Acting CFTC Chair Caroline Pham is establishing a CEO Innovation Council, seeking nominations from financial and tech leaders by December 8, 2025. The council will advise on regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies, including cryptocurrency, prediction markets, and 24/7 trading platforms.

"The U.S. is leading a new era in market structure," Pham stated, positioning the CFTC at the forefront of this financial renaissance. The initiative precedes a pivotal Senate vote on crypto market structure legislation slated for January 2026.

Under Pham's tenure, the CFTC has expanded its focus on digital assets, exploring perpetual contracts, tokenized collateral, and blockchain applications. This MOVE signals growing institutional recognition of crypto's role in modern finance.
